The George Lindsay Band deliver the Blues and other stuff for your 100% enjoyment. This 3 piece band from Glasgow play in a completely uncompromising style, from an 'in your face' hard nosed fashion, much like you would expect from a Glasgow band, to the smooth and intensely melodic that can make the hair on the back of your neck stand up! As George is fond of saying, " we play some blues and lots of other sh*t!"

Two cracking gigs done, then back to the Howlin' Wolf this Friday!

A quiet Thursday night in Glasgow in the pouring rain, on the week before the first monthly pay day of the year, don't expect the punters to come out in big numbers! But this was at The Howlin' Wolf! We were filling in for a abnd unable to make it that night. We arrived as usual an hour before to set up to witness six punters clearly enjoying the club's soundtrack. The miracle of this place is the late night crowd who arrived continuously for the next hour before we started and continued to arrive thereafter! What looked like it might be a quiet rehearsal turned into a cracking start off gig for the year! A wonderful venue with wonderful punters!

Followed that on the last day of the month at No.2 Baker Street in Stirling. A fabulous night with a brilliant audience enjoying the more rocky blues stuuf that we do! Busy from start to finish, with the offer from a maybe ‘millionaire’ asking if we would play on beyond 12.30 if he would pay us £20,000!! Although tempted, after a quick risk assessment re the likelihood of payment, we thought it better to just go home! All in all it was an excellent gig with a very appreciative crowd. Back in September and looking forward to it!

Catch us Friday 6th Feb at The Howlin' Wolf

10.00pm - Midnight!

A wee surprise visit to the Wolf!

Nice surprise for us to be back at The Howlin' Wolf this Thursday! So for those of you who like to start the weekend early come and join us for some blues ‘n’ stuff from 10.00pm!

Back to No.2 Baker Street, Stirling! Saturday 31st January 9.30pm!

Getting our year off to a flying start we had a fabulous double header weekend, Friday 9th at The Howlin' Wolf, Bath St, Glasgow, followed by a very busy Saturday afternoon slot at the Clutha Bar. A wee rest and then we are back to business in Stirling at No.2 Baker Street on Saturday 31st January at 9.30pm. Get there early as this place gets very busy on a Saturday night! We are so looking forward to this one!

The George Lindsay Band welcomes you all to 2026!

Cracking start to the year for us with our opener at The Howlin' Wolf in Glasgow, on Friday 9th January 10.00pm to Midnight! Always a great gig at this fabulous blues venue! We follow that up on Saturday 10th with a nice afternoon slot at The Clutha Bar. This is another brilliant music venue, with live music 7 days a week! We never tire of playing at either of these two outstanding Glasgow hotspots.

Another year done, roll on 2026!

That's us finished off our 2025 gigs with a cracking weekend. Saturday 6th at the Harbour Bar in Troon was a blast as always! John Scott, a guitar maestro, joined us for a few tunes and duelled with our George to brilliant effect on both their parts! Dougie and Compo  kept the rhythm in check as always!

A Sunday session at the Clutha in Glasgow was a fabulous ending to our weekend of blues 'n stuff, a very appreciative audience enjoyed it at least as much as we did!

An hour of acoustic blues at the Howlin Wolf on Tuesday 9th was our finale for 2025. We leave this year with George's words.

“Well that’s us for another year and what a great place to end it. Looking forward to 2026 … but in the meantime a HUGE thank you to everyone who took the time to come to our gigs this year and indeed any gigs by the many fantastic artists who regularly perform in the pubs, clubs and venues who still believe in keeping it live. Support them as much as you can.”

Summertime Blues!

Troon will be buzzing this weekend! We are looking forward to a 2 set gig at the Walker Hall stage in Troon Town Hall. First set at 7.45pm then 2nd at 9.30pm. Really looking for a Harbour Bar vibe except a bit bigger!

Some Blues out of the blue!

Sunday 23rd July we have an unexpected but welcome visit to Sharps Bar in Largs! Dougie our drummer is on his hols so Graham ‘Milney’ Milne joins us to hit things, shake things and rattle things in his own inimitable style, and (hopefully) in time with the bass. Don't be lulled into George's trap Graham! He sucks you in from 90bpm to 150bpm in the space of 12 bars!!
