Nuthin' but the blues!

The George Lindsay Blues Band deliver 100% Blues. This 3 piece band from Glasgow play the blues in a completely uncompromising style, from an 'in your face' hard nosed fashion, much like you would expect from a Glasgow band, to the smooth and intensely melodic that can make the hair on the back of your neck stand up!

"Intensely melodic and tight, Lindsay and co. continued to play a sweet mixture of jazz, blues and rock & roll instrumentals, before ending with their version of John Lee Hooker’s ‘Boom Boom’." Calum Woodger's review, The Music Brewery,15th March 2015.

Back to Macsorley's!

This weekend sees us returning to Macsorley's on Jamaica St, Glasgow after a bit of an absence, and we are very much looking forward to it!

(Not quite so!) Busy weekend ahead!

What a great night we had at the Waverley Hotel in Callander on Friday night at the Callander Jazz & Blues Festival. Unfortunately our weekend will be slightly depleted as we will not be playing at Sweeney's on Friday. We were looking forward to next weekend and a triple header! Friday night at Sweeneys in Shawlands is cancelled, but looking forward to Saturday night overseas at the Pierhead Tavern, Lamlash on Arran, then Sunday early evening at the Clutha, Glasgow. Now only a double header! Sorry folks but it wisnae our fault!

Live @ Linen

Well that's our holidays over so its back to the music for us! Linen in Shawlands, Glasgow is always a buzz for us. We'll be there on Saturday 30th July just after 9.00pm for some smooth blues!

The Village People!

Great wee gig at The Village Inn, East Kilbride. Very appreciative audience who clearly liked their Blues!
Apologies to the staff for the late finish, we thought we were on until 1.00am! Looking forward to the next one, we're back on the 7th of May!

Where's Paolo! Not at the Clutha!

So there we were playing our hearts out at the Clutha on a cold night in January, first gig of 2016, and word gets out that Paolo Nutini was due in to meet friends that night!

"Is that him there, wi' the thick beard?" Naw it was just John wi' his thick heid! This guy was six foot four, Paolo isn't. We're still waiting!

Any way catch us Thursday 8.00pm, 21st January at The Clutha, with or without Paolo, for some laid back blues!

Review of the Dr Feelgood gig.

A review of the Dr Feelgood gig at The Ferry gives us some very good feedback as the support slot! Check the link!
